Wellington, September 5 (JY&A Media) Lucire has been known as a lightning rod for new talent, and is one of the media partners behind Boston Fashion Week, and its Emerging Trends 2011 Runway Show on September 24, at 8 p.m., at the Cyclorama.
This event, with Lucire as media partner, will focus on up-and-coming international designers, allowing them to showcase their latest designs, in some cases introducing their lines to the international world.
The event is intended to introduce fresh faces to Boston’s world of fashion, and aims to increase Boston’s reputation as an international fashion destination. The Emerging Trends 2011 Runway showcase will highlight the works of designers from Australia, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Iceland and the USA. Designers will include: American Linda Rowe Thomas, a Texan-born self-taught mother whose line creates a flexible definition of couture by allowing each wearer to highlight their own individuality through the pieces while simultaneously embodying timeless elegance and glamour; !Nu.I., brainchild of Canadian Vickie Joseph, whose fresh and funky avant-garde style fuses bright colours, haute couture and simplicity to create classical pieces attractive to all women; and Saudi Arabian Rana Al Soliman’s Rajadano, whose beautiful selection of culturally reminiscent and ethnically elegant handbags and clutches allows fashionistas everywhere the ability to add an element of global expression to their wardrobe.
Other designers will include Maleku Jewelry (USA), Andy Jacques (USA), Kalb & Etiw (Australia), Ashley Zaba (Canada), Gardé Del Avante (Canada), Lady Baptise (Canada), WallacePlayford (Canada), Ruby Ellen Johnson (Canada), and Halldora Eydis Jonsdottir (Iceland).
Appealing to the young and hip fashion minded community, the Emerging Trends 2011 Runway Show brings a euro-chic style to Boston. Tickets start at US$50 a person and are available at theemergingtrends.com.
